The 'Peppermint Pig', made since 1820 in Saratoga Springs, is a holiday tradition brought out at the end of a meal, cracked with a tiny hammer, and shared by everyone in the hopes of bringing good fortune to one and all in the forthcoming year. Still made to the original recipe, this hard candy treat comes in a gift box along with a tiny hammer and a red cloth pouch.
